It was a sight to behold as workers of the Ghana Commercial Bank [GCB], University of Cape Coast [UCC] branch, clad in the uniform of the military, police, doctors, nurses, and others as they mark Customer Service Week today, October 2.

According to the branch manager, Mr Richard Denakpor, his workers dressed like other professionals to ‘connect with them to make them feel that we associate with them so they can trust us.’

“They [customers] have been excited about it. Most of them came to take pictures […] because they usually see us in our suits and tie; but today they come and someone is looking like a nurse, doctor, fire service, a police; so they are excited about it,” Mr Denakpor stated.

He also indicated that customers were given gifts: biscuits, toffees, etc.

According to him, every employee chose his or her preferred uniform and this is done every year during Customer Service Week.
