The 2001 batch of Ada Senior High School on Friday, May 25, 2018, donated a polytank worth 3, 750GHC to their alma mater to help solve the school’s water challenges.
Students of the Ada Senior High School, in the Greater Accra region, have for the years been grappling with getting access to water especially when the taps do not flow.
Presenting the polytank to the school, former assistant school prefect Ato Kwamina said that the 2001 batch deemed it appropriate giving back to their alma mater.
“In 1999 when we gained admission into this school, we had just one female dormitory and two male dormitories. We had to cope with crossing the main road to fetch water from the river whenever there was water shortage. Today, we feel it is only right we come back here to help alleviate the plight of students. Hence, this polytank,” he said.

Receiving the item on behalf of the Ada Senior High School, Senior House Master Elvis Birinkorang expressed gratitude to the old students.
“Prior to this project [donation], students struggled to get even a cup of water to use anytime the tap went dry. So, the school was in a dire need of a tank like this. Your response is timely and will go a long way to address the water challenges we face,” he said.
