Majority Leader touted over ‘incorruptible character’

Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu

The Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, has been described as an ‘incorruptible and sincere leader.’

According to the New Patriotic Party’s [NPP] Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Richard Akwasi Asante, no person or institution has accused him [Mensah-Bonsu] of indulging in bribery and corruption for the past years.

“I’m challenging any person or institution who has any evidence of bribery and corruption against him [Mensah-Bonsu], to bring on board to prove otherwise,” he stated.

The NPP’s Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency made these remarks after Mr Kyei Mensah-Bonsu who is the Member of Parliament [MP] for the area had inspected some road projects in the constituency.

Among the areas he visited with the Suame Municipal Chief Executive [MCE], Dr. John Osei Bobbie Boahen and Maxwell Ofosu Boakye, Presiding Member, were Old Suame, New Suame, Bremang and Kronum Abuohia.

Mr Asante indicated that the only challenge facing the constituency is the deplorable nature of the roads which some constituents lambasted the MP before the 2016 elections.

Plans are far advanced for most roads in the constituency to get a facelift by the end of this year, he noted.

“After improving the state of the roads, as expected, what will critics have again to crucify the MP for, prior to elections?,” he questioned.

He thus, expressed his excitement about the level of cooperation between the MP, MCE and Presiding Member of the Assembly, hoping that such working relations would be maintained to collectively help develop the constituency.
