The Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, has lashed out on some individuals who are criticising the work of ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

He said, he is surprised that those who praised Anas, years ago, for his style of journalism are now criticising him, and referred to them as ‘hypocrites.’

The Insight Newspaper’s managing editor was speaking on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokroko’ on Friday, June 1, 2018 when he made the comments.

“Those criticising Anas now are hypocrites because they are the same people who praised him some time ago,” he said.

When he was asked to mention names by the host Kwami Sefa Kayi (Chairman General), he refrained.

It is in the wake of the latest expose of Anas, that Kwesi Pratt makes these comments. In the investigative piece, Kwasi Nyantakyi is believed to be engaged in some influence peddling using the name of the president.

Upon watching excerpts of the video, President Nana Addo lodged a complaint on May 22, 2018, to the Police CID to probe the GFA boss.

Consequently, some individuals including the NPP Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong, have criticised Anas and his investigative piece (Number 12), which is scheduled for public viewing on June 6, 2018.
