Highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Fosu, known in showbiz as KK Fosu, says he is ever ready to record a campaign song for the gay community in Ghana.
According to the musician, although homosexuality is frowned upon in Ghana, he does not see anything wrong in doing a song for them indicating that singing is his job.
KK Fosu made this endorsement in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM’s drive time show ‘Ekwanso Dwoodwoo’ on Friday, June 1, 2018.
”Everyone has his/her right, but here in Ghana, homosexuality is not our culture. If I’m doing my work as everyone does, I do not see anything wrong in taking money and doing a song for gays,” he explained.
‘They are human beings, it’s my job, I’ll do it,”KK Fosu stated when Abeiku Santana emphasised on whether he will readily do a campaign song for the gays.
KK Fosu’s endorsement comes after [Ghanaian] rapper Ex Doe claimed he was offered an amount of 50, 000GHC to compose a song for the gay community in Ghana couple of days ago.
Ex Doe made the claims during an interview on Joy FM with Lexis Bill, and spoke about his position on Homosexuality.
“I was contacted with an amount of 50,000GHC to do a gay rights campaign song for the gay community,” Ex Doe stated. “I am not gay and I don’t have anything against gay people. There are prostitutes out there whom some people don’t like but they are there. Let’s leave people to live their lives how they please. God will judge us all at the end,” he said.
KK Fosu, on the other hand, has declared his readiness to do a campaign song for the gay community in Ghana and we await how the society will react to this.
The highlife artiste has a number of hit songs to his credit including Adwen (Suu dwe suu dwe), Yaapiisi, Lyno and Twa W’ani,
