Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper says he has withdrawn his support for Mr Asiedu Nketia to win the general secretaryship position of the National Democratic Congress [NDC] as he had earlier stated.

Mr Abdul Malik Kweku Baako says, although impossible, he wishes all the delegates spoil their ballots for the general secretaryship position in their upcoming congress. This he said is “because I don’t support any of them [Asiedu Nketia and Koku Anyidoho].”

“I know it’s impossible but I wish they get zero-zero, then the party goes into the general elections without a general secretary,” he said on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show on Wednesday, November 14.

According to Mr Baako, he initially supported Mr Asiedu Nketia to win the general secretaryship position again, but for some reasons he has withdrawn that support.

He indicated also that he neither supports Koku Anyidoho who is also contesting the same position, hence, he wishes both lose, although impossible.

The national congress of the NDC to elect executives to occupy the various national positions in the party comes on this weekend in Accra.
