Founder and leader of the All People’s Congress (APC) Hassan Ayariga has commended President Akufo-Addo for firing the Electoral Commission (EC) boss, Charlotte Osei, and two deputies, Mr Amadu Sulley and Ms. Georgina Opoku Amankwah.
Hassan Ayariga says neither he nor the party will participate in a demonstration to protest the removal of Charlotte Osei and the two of her deputies.
According to Myjoyonline.com, the APC founder says the planned demonstration by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is against the public order act, as the police has not been duly notified, therefore, “the APC and myself cannot be part of the process.”
The demonstration scheduled for Friday, June 29, 2018 is being called by the main opposition party, NDC, following the removal of EC Chair and her two deputies by President Nana Akufo-Addo for misbehaviour and incompetence.
Other individuals who have also commended Akufo-Addo for removing EC boss and her two deputies include Spokesperson on Governance and Legal Affairs, Herbert Krapa and Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of the NPP, Richard Asante.
