The Electoral Commission [EC] of Ghana has gone back for its old logo after it was changed in April 2016 by the former EC boss, Mrs Charlotte Osei.
In a memo issued today by the chairperson of the EC, Jean Mensa, it said: “This comes to inform you that with effect from today the 4th of December, 2018 the original logo of the Electoral Commission which bears the Coat of Arms and has a ballot box showing the hand casting it’s vote has been restored.”
According to the memo, “the core values of the Electoral Commission, namely Integrity, Fairness and Accountability have from today also been restored.”
The memo has thus directed Commissioners, Head Office Directors, Regional Directors, Deputy Regional Directors, District Electoral Officers and Sectional Heads to “kindly ensure that the most recent logo is removed from the buildings and properties of the Commission,” and replace with the original one.
