Breaking: FIFA meets government today

Information coming in indicates that some officials from FIFA have arrived in the country to hold a closed door meeting with government later this afternoon.

The officials, who according to sources close to Oman FM arrived on June 21, 2018 will discuss issues concerning corruption, dissolution and the way forward of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The venue for the meeting is not yet disclosed.

It would be recalled that earlier this week a meeting between Ministry of Youth and Sports and FIFA was reported to take place at FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Elvis Adjei-Baah later indicated in an interview with the press that the meeting had been postponed until further notice.

However, the world football governing body has sent its officials to Ghana to meet with government and discuss the way forward of the Ghana football upon its dissolution as a result of Anas’ Number 12 expose.

The expose revealed corrupt practices of the GFA boss, match official, referees  and other individuals.

The meeting is set to take place later this afternoon.
